Skip the jewelry store. We exclusively authenticate, appraise, and assess only watches.
Is it real? Oftentimes only a professional can tell. Authentication involves a visual inspection of the case and bracelet, dial and hands, as well as the movement inside. Important details and identifying numbers will be noted, and insight will be provided regarding the general health of the timepiece.
Applicable for insurance and loss-recovery efforts, each appraisal will provide a declared value and will create a formal record of important details and identifying serial numbers. Appraisals also include a photograph of the unique timepiece, as well as a general description of its current condition.
*A watch's provenance and condition may greatly affect its determined value.
Gain greater insights into your valued collection from the comfort of your home. Chat with a professional about the historical significance of your timepieces, their current status, and how to properly operate and care for each one. Some minor services, like strap and bracelet adjustments, will also be made available on-site for added convenience.
Leave the guess work out of sending a timepiece off for service. We ensure properly secured shipping, tracking, and communication throughout the service process with select manufacturers.
*All watch services are estimated on an individual basis. List prices are estimations for maintenance service only, and do not necessarily take into account the value of the watch or the replacement of worn or damaged parts.
Does something feel off? Gain peace of mind with a rigorous, multi-day quality control check that tests the accuracy, automatic reserve, and water resistance of your timepiece.

A typical in-house service interval is five weeks. You will receive an estimation within 1 week of dropping off your watch, and you can expect it back on your wrist within 4 weeks following your approval of service. Any deviation from expected timelines will be clearly communicated, and regular status updates will be provided when a service duration exceeds its estimation.
We have the expertise and the tooling required to handle the unique challenges that come with restoring older timepieces.
We currently offer minor and maintenance level services for most contemporary models. Modern timepieces contain proprietary parts, requiring working relationships with manufacturers to obtain. Powell & Friends is in the process of collaborating with several brands, and we look forward to expanding our listing of manufacture level services as we continue to grow.
